Keith: Has been playing Celtic music for over 25 years. His deep interest in history and story telling cultivated a love of sea tunes, cultural classics and ballads. His annoying habit of answering rhetorical questions often elicits eye rolls from his band mates.
Lisa: Started playing in 4th grade with the Suzuki Method. Now she brings a truly unique, improvised style all her own. Her infectious laugh and what-the-hell attitude brings levity and energy to every show. Lisa is the blood that flows through the veins of Dublin O’Shea.
John: Fell in love with Celtic music when his daughter began Irish dancing in 1st grade. A guitar player for many years, John saw a deal on line for a Mandolin with instructions. After his father-in-law quipped about him “becoming a minstrel,” he vowed to learn the mandolin and find a band. Shortly there after he randomly ran into Keith and Lisa at House of Guinness and started sitting in on sessions. Over 20 years have passed and they are still making music thanks to the addition of Jeff, their enthusiastic and excellent percussionist. Lisa calls John, “A Seriously Funny Man.” It’s a moniker he wears proudly. His daughter, now in her early 30’s, still dances with the band. A dream come true for John.
Jeff has been a professional percussionist/ educator for over 37 yrs. He has extensive knowledge about ethnomusicology and has performed at venues throughout the country with various groups (African Worldfest, HIndu Temple Pewaukee , local festivals and big arenas in Milwaukee, Chicago, Green Bay, and many, many others. Jeff loves playing with DOS, allowing him to act stupid and funny, making patrons laugh with his goofy commentary during (yes, during) and between songs. His rhythm and timing keep people dancing and laughing.
